For visitors whose location is verified as a U.S. state other than California, Google and Microsoft advertising tags may load by default. For California visitors, visitors outside the United States, and visitors whose location cannot be verified, the tags stay off until Allow optional ads is chosen. A decline or Global Privacy Control signal keeps the tags off in every location. Some providers involved in site security or payment may set necessary cookies independently of the advertising choice.
The Allow or Decline choice is saved in this browser’s local storage. A first-party opt-out cookie is set after Decline or a Global Privacy Control signal. It lets a recognized saved checkout profile or a later quote or checkout submission carry the opt-out into customer-list preparation. No advertising-choice cookie is needed for the default U.S. setting. If the location check fails, the tags stay off.
Server-side customer-list preparation and uploads do not require additional browser cookies. They use eligible contact and IP information already collected during MIBearings transactions and requests, as described in the privacy policy.
Types Of Cookies And Similar Technologies
Not every visitor will receive the same cookies. What is used can depend on which pages you visit, whether you search, request a quote, begin checkout, or complete payment through an outside provider.
- A session cookie used when a cart, form, or checkout needs server-side continuity
- mb_cart and mb_profile first-party cookies, set when a cart or contact profile is saved, to restore those details on the same browser; these may last up to 400 days unless cleared sooner
- Security cookies and request signals used by MIBearings and Cloudflare to protect the site
- Google Ads and Microsoft UET cookies or browser identifiers for ad measurement and personalization when advertising tags are active under the regional rule or an Allow choice
- Payment, billing, or checkout cookies used by outside providers when their transaction flows are opened
Third-Party Services
MIBearings uses Cloudflare for site delivery and security, payment and billing providers such as Invoiced, Stripe, and PayPal for transaction flows, and Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising for optional ad measurement and personalization.
Microsoft collects or receives personal information from visitors and from MIBearings to provide Microsoft Advertising, including UET measurement and advertising matching. Google also receives advertising event data and may receive a hashed email address for enhanced conversions when advertising tags are active. Their handling of data is described in the linked notices and our Privacy Policy.
Microsoft UET enhanced-conversion email hashes are used for attribution and estimated conversion modeling and are subject to Microsoft’s published 30-day retention period for advertiser-provided hashed personal identifiers. Customer Match audience sharing is separate from browser cookies and is described in our Privacy Policy. Our advertising policy excludes audience creation, targeting, or profiling of people under 18.
Those providers control parts of their own cookie behavior and may change their implementations over time. Their own documentation and policies also apply.
How To Manage Cookies
Use Your Privacy Choices in the site footer to allow or decline advertising tags. You can change that choice at any time. Declining prevents future Google and Microsoft ad tag loading here, but it cannot remove cookies already placed by those providers; use your browser settings to inspect or delete those.
MIBearings also honors a Global Privacy Control signal by keeping optional advertising tags off in that browser. The local advertising choice does not control essential site, security, or payment-provider cookies.
Blocking essential or security-related cookies may interfere with site functionality, including quote forms, checkout, payment flows, and fraud-prevention checks.
